I’m late posting this, but I managed another new year’s day ride, despite snow over ice and temps below freezing.  The sun was shining, which always makes everything easier.  The tires make an incredibly cool tearing sound as they crunch through the snow.  I went out a week later but the snow was reduced to rough icy patches and it was tough going.  Discretion and time combined to make my last ride an embarrassing stationary bike session in the basement.  Not the same at all.
