this is a kickin’ ride

the newest 'dream ride' iteration

This ride was a joy — cycling rocks!  On the way out, I saw a ton of kids on bikes — along with dog walkers, joggers, and few people ambling along seemingly without a care in the world.  Then I cut over 119 to pick up the South Putnam trailway, grabbing a nice big round of firewood along the way.  Holy smokes does that change the ride!  I’m going to have to edit my ‘to bring’ list down to a toothbrush and ramen noodles.  I felt like an old time train getting up to speed.  I could have boiled water for the noodles using the disks after bringing everything to a halt for an errant car.  Still and all, I kept the speed up and even managed to exchange howdies as I passed people.

The picture above shows the whole setup but I doesn’t really show you the little brass bell I added a few days ago.  It is the cat’s meow.  Delicate, yet asking to be noticed.  I’m a  nicer, more loveable person now that I have this little bell.  I even popped it a few times for fun.

everyone needs a little brass bell
